There are a lot of negative reviews, but trust me, unless you are easily irritated by the smallest inconvenience, you will at the least like this place. I always enjoy my visit. If you don't want to walk through the whole showroom and just want to get in and get your item, simply enter through the exit and you'll be in the warehouse. Easy as that. I've only ever spoken with one employee, and he was extremely nice and very helpful. Personally, I've never had a bad experience here except for the time they were out of stock of the product I needed. But that's really not much.

I used to work for Ikea, worked there for almost 4 years. Going corporate has really brought the store down, the quality, the service, the employees. It is definitely not the same experience. Went there tonight, every employee was rude, the store was filthy. I called back to customer service this evening inquiring about a $600 table I am very interested in but couldn't find online (the picture I took of it didn't come out right) and the CS rep was so incredibly unhelpful it was a waste of a phone call. This is not the same Ikea I worked for, what a shame!

Disappointing service... I was trying to fully remodel my kitchen. When I was there to ask questions, the attitude of the reps was just horrible...I could clearly tell that they were annoyed by customers asking questions. Instantly after talking with couple of the customer support reps, I decided to walk away. I liked the options the offered and the displays. But so what? IKEA didn't care about customers.

Terrible customer service. Confusing prompts when calling their support line. At 5PM PDT it just hangs up on you. Delivery was extremely late with no call, update or notice. I waited around all day for nothing. I have avoided IKEA for years because of past experiences. I regret I gave them another chance.

This was my first time at an Ikea, and I really liked it. I actually found the staff helpful and nice. They have a mind-boggling variety of everything at very reasonable prices! They have more modern and creative pieces of decorations and furniture. I'm definitely coming back :)

This place was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor, never order anything from Ikea. I purchased a spring mattress on 1/24/15, based on my sampling of the floor model. I was advised by the sales staff in the mattress department that it would take 7-10 days for the mattress to be delivered to the store, and I was given a 2/7/15 estimated delivery date that it would be available for pick up. The delivery date came and went with no call or email from Ikea. I began calling their 800 customer service, but they would only say "the item is in route", and they could not advise me as to when the mattress would be available for pickup. Over the next week, I continued to call the customer delivery department approximately 20 times. Each time, they would advise me that they would call me when the mattress was in. On 2/17/15, 10 days after the estimated delivery date, I returned to the store to check the status of my order. The customer service department advised me they still had no idea where the mattress was, nor when it would arrive. I advised them at that time to cancel the order and refund my money, which was a total of $1078.92. I was then advised by the customer service department that IKEA would not refund my money until the mattress arrived, and that I would have to come back again to get my refund. I obviously asked to speak with the manager, and the customer service manager, Courtney, presented herself and advised me that she was acting within Ikea's policy. I explained to Courtney that I had never taken possession of the mattress, and that it was and is still in Ikea's control. She still would not provide me a refund, nor could she even provide me with status on the order as to when the mattress would arrive and when my refund would be made available. Courtney, and the customer service department in the San Diego store, do not understand the meaning of customer service. I am glad she is not the manager at my place of business.

Super fun place! even if it's just to look around and get inspired. They have good pricing and if you have a good eye you can find really good quality stuff.

It's hard to think back on what my life looked like before IKEA. It has helped transform my vision for my home from a dream into a reality. I am a highly visual person, and interior decorating is a huge passion of mine. The first time I ever went to IKEA I was hooked. I love being able to touch, move, sit on and fully experience an item before purchasing it, and the set up of the store creates inspiration just by seeing how someone else may use something differently. All of their items are pretty affordable and easily customizable. The only drawback of course is the assembly. If you have a handy husband like I do, it's not as much of a problem, but I have definitely run into a few problems that without his help I would have been stuck and/or destroyed the item out of frustration/desperation. So, before you leave, check your nuts and bolts and/or grab a few extra pieces of hardware, as packages sometimes miss those pieces. And, reward yourself from the hours of creative brain work you just did, and treat yourself to a 4 course meal downstairs for like, 3 dollars.
