All around the world you find different cultures, food, clothing, people and much more...but one thing that stays the same wherever you go is the love for the game. This trip has taught me to appreciate the game I love, to appreciate the game that has been a part of me since I was a little girl. Through pain, tears, and blood, soccer has made me who I am. Soccer has given me the gift of having this wonderful experience. Playing against all these different countries, I realized that these girls don't care whether you have the nicest jersey, better skill on the ball, or even who the refs favor more, that in the end were all there for the same reason, to play a game that has become a part of us, to have fun and enjoy this surreal opportunity. Saying goodbye to this country that has become my home, and my friends that have become like sisters will be a challenge beyond words. I'm thankful for every part of this experience, for being able to represent my country and bring home that gold medal around my neck. To my teammates, my best friends, my sisters, it's not saying goodbye, just ill see you later.
