With something like 26 square miles now under water, what hope is there for the poor farming community and those folk with flooded businesses and homes? The modern developments probably shouldn't have even been built there in the first place. As for the wildlife, the wildfowl will love it and maybe the amphibians might recover well, but for most species it is equally disastrous. I vaguely recall a Somerset Barn Owl Recovery Project set up within the last couple of years, not a lot of hope for them either. We mustn't continue ignoring the needs of our ecosystems in the light of climate change. In any other country, this would have quickly been deemed "a national emergency".

Thanks for agreeing to read the links Tony, but you see, this really isn't down to Mother Nature, this is intentionally manipulated weather to suit the world leader's agendas.....Agenda 21.  They said on the BBC today that the jet stream is 'locked in place' at the moment, which would never happen naturally!  This can easily be done by using chemtrails and HAARP though and it very obviously is!   There is a HAARP facility in Aberystwith, Wales and they are also many globally.  HAARP is an ionospheric heater, which can be pinpointed to any area in the sky, to  create weather systems, move jet streams (and hold them in place), create earthquakes, steer storms etc.  None of this is conspiracy, but fact and this needs to be taken seriously, otherwise we are just trying to treat the symptoms without getting to the cause!

A key wildlife haven saved from development. Even non birders should be able to marvel at the lengths some kind souls go to, in order to save our planet's last breathing spaces from the bulldozers.

Over in the United Kingdom, Mother Nature has been doing her utmost to throw everything at us weather-wise of late. One community which has suffered more than most in recent years, is the farming sector.

Yes, an all too familiar scene right across the United Kingdom currently. Most likely it will get worse in the coming years too, be that extreme precipitation in terms of rain or snow or even at the other extreme, drought. I’m presuming this is next to RSPB Otmoor, if so, I'd be surprised if the farmer couldn’t get some assistance from Natural England or even the RSPB. As we serve to protect these wonderful and extremely important landscapes for our birds and other wildlife, we also have a duty to keep the farmers on side as well.
