"Automated yet distracting." Another fine example of smart devices that are gradually entering our lives - even though you wouldn't be buying a smart oven this Christmas yet. In addition to the UX shift towards more complex processes for everyday things, there's also a great point here about the way how these devices may grow smarter the longer you use them - whereas the user does not accumulate a similar confidence over their own skills. Because that's what they end up being here: the user, not the creator. Combining machine learning with human learning is going to be an interesting challenge to tackle. Something that you probably can't achieve just by adding sensors and WiFi into everyday things.

The Executor's Dilemma? It's easy to see how Apple has become increasingly like the old Microsoft during the recent years, by focusing mainly on optimizing the revenue streams from existing product categories rather than using their massive piles of money to experiment with something new and potentially transformative. Maximizing shareholder value one quarter at a time has rarely been the recipe for the next big thing, but how do you disrupt your own business when the money just keeps piling up? A great analysis from Steve Blank on the dilemma of what happens when the visionary CEO leaves and the visions are replaced with merely precise execution of known processes.

Such a great end of summer weekend at Suvilahti, full of 90's mayhem from the greatest eurodance acts of the time. Thanks to everyone who makes the We Love The 90's Helsinki festival happen!

Some things are just way ahead of their time. The KLF was certainly one such time traveler. 23 after having left the music industry, the band remains as relevant as ever, and this killer "mixumentary" by United States of Audio does some great justice to the unique musical career of the Kopyright Liberation Front, also known as #KLF, furthermore known as The Jams.

"Got to see that everywhere I turn will point to the fact that time is eternal."

Microsoft Social Engagement now includes a "Link to CRM" feature that allows you to push social data into Dynamics CRM. What kind of new scenarios does this unlock? Have a look at these slides from my +MSDynamicsWorld.com webcast to learn all about it!

Apple App Store seemed like such a revolutionary, simple way for installing any app you want, anytime, on any iOS device. The joys of a walled garden suddenly take a turn to the wrong direction when you realize that any app that's no longer for sale  in the App Store might not be available for you to install ever again.

Does the "Post-PC Era" mean there will be no marks whatsoever left in history about what apps we once used to spend our days staring at on those shiny little screens in our pockets?

Pulling up that screen from the newly announced Surface Book and revealing that it also could be used as a tablet was exactly the type of "one more thing" that great tech keynotes are supposed to have. Great stuff on the Microsoft Windows 10 Devices event today, from MS Band 2 to Hololens to Lumia 950 to Surface Pro 4... and finally this. #windows10devices   #onemorething   #SurfaceBook
