This place was super clean and a great place to rest after events of the day. Like *seriously* clean to quite an extreme level - really worth noting. It's near transit and there are lots of cabs around if you want to take a short trip to somewhere like Mississippi Street where you will find cool lounge bars and restaurants etc. Plus there is a good coffee shop and at least one basic "sports bar" nearby. Good price compared to many many many I checked out online before I made my choice.

This is a beautiful view and the yurts are spotless and super fun - with a picnic table and fire pit. Look out for bold raccoons lured by the scent of your snacks around the fire; small pets or kids could be at risk. Take a lawn chair to the beach and watch the sunset.

I highly recommend this local East Van shop, where Kevin and his team did magic on my 1993 Previa that was nearly written off by ICBC. My newly purchased van (that I had searched for online for months) had been backed into while it was parked, and it looked like the cost of repairs might exceed the value of the vehicle itself. One other shop turned down the job because they didn't think it could be done for the amount allotted by ICBC - and then I found Kevin's shop via Yelp. He fixed up my van beautifully and helped me with the ICBC paperwork (that's now electronic, but you get the point). Kevin said he specializes in helping people in the neighbourhood - and has been in business since 1976. K P's Auto Body Shop is ready to fix your older (but much loved) vehicles that might be on the edge of "write off" by ICBC - so check them out (and good luck with your vehicle, whatever happened to it).
