Our 1/4 annual G+ LeapYear Day Photography Project
Some of you may recall, last year we held the first ever  A Day in the Life Photography Project,
G+ LeapYear 2012 A day in the life of G+

Our 1/4 annual G+ LeapYear Day Photography Project
Introduction
What is this Leap Year Project?
A project to capture a small snippet of the lives and the world from the perspective of everyone here on G+. Everyone will take a picture of their small piece of the world on the 29th Feb 2012 and share it with the whole G+ community. This will create one never before seen photographic record of what the world looked like on one specific day in time. A record that forms a kind of time capsule that we can use to look back on one frozen moment in time.

How do I get Involved?
Simple:
During the week of Feb.23 - Mar.1 2013 Take a Picture (or several)
Upload that picture(s) to Google+
Share your picture(s) publicly
Include the tag:   #G +LeapYearDayProject2013
+ Mention this page
Use the Event to add photos
Our 1/4 annual G+ LeapYear Day Photography Project

What should the picture be of?
Absolutely anything, as long as it meets the terms of service of Google+ But if you want some inspiration please use any of the Daily Photography Themes

The picture doesn't have to be some glorious ground-breaking event. The idea is to simply capture something going on around you at any point on that day.

Do I need to be a professional photographer?
No, this is for anyone to partake in

More Information
A G+ Community Photography Project Feb. 23 - Mar. 1 2013, everyone post a photo showing something that expresses you, how you see your world or G+.  Choose a specific time or just snap off a quick shot. Geo-Tag it so we can see where everyone is from (This is entirely optional).
Have fun, no rules except, good taste, legal, and work safe please!

One of my cousin's good friends back home is starting this venture of very stylish belts made from recycled materials as a sustainable alternative to leather. Help kickstart his company and get some awesome belts in the process!

+Day in the life of G+ Photography Project
Introduction
We are kicking off our next big project

Why wait another 4 years, here at +Day in the life of G+ we are kicking off the next big *Global G+ Community Photography Project.*

As some of you recall, our first Community Photo project was 'G+ LeapYear 2012 A day in the life of G+' and it was a huge success. Building on that momentum we are kick starting another project for the holiday of Midsummer’s Eve.

What is Midsummer's Eve?
This is one of our favorite holidays, because it is so fun and unique, setting it apart from all of the more well known holidays.

"Midsummer’s Eve takes place on the Friday that occurs between June 19th and June 26th*.
This is the longest day of the year and in some parts of northern Sweden it stays light outside the whole night.

One of the main components of Midsummer’s Eve is the maypole. It is usually --- decorated with leaves and flowers. The people celebrating --- then partake in traditional singing and dancing around the maypole---. Many of the songs --- date back hundreds of years.
”

So the project will run from June 20th through June 24th.  This includes the actual summer solstice of 6/20/12 and spans the tradtional weekend of celebration.

Rules are:
  • Safe for work and young people looking over your shoulder.
  • Any format (G+ compatible).
  • Picture must be taken over the MidSummer period

What should the picture be of?
Absolutely anything, as long as it meets the terms of service of Google+ But if you want some inspiration please use any of the Daily Photography Themes

The picture doesn't have to be some glorious ground-breaking event. The idea is to simply capture the natural goings on of the world.

How do I get Involved?
  1. Between 06/20/12 and 06/24/12  Take a Picture (or several)
  2. Upload that picture(s) to Google+
  3. Share your picture(s) publicly
    1. Include the tag: #MidSummersNightProject
    2. + Mention the Day in the Life of G+ page

Can I upload a video?

Yes you can, but try to keep it under 1 minute. Although we would also prefer photos

Do I need to be a professional photographer?

No, this is for anyone to take part in
