JCS Kosher Food Bank Featured in The Jewish Press

The Jewish Press, which features news about Jews, Israel and the world, ran an article about the students of the Aventura-Turnberry Jewish Center who recently visited the JCS Kosher Food Bank to stock the shelves. These student volunteers most recently collected and delivered Kosher for Passover foods to the facility.

JCS is one of the largest non-profit social service agencies in the Southeast and the most comprehensive Jewish-sponsored social service agency in Florida, serving more than 25,000 clients annually – regardless of age, race, religion or ethnic background. Offering an array of premium support, mental health and rehabilitation and vocational services for children and youth, adults and families, and seniors, JCS is a "Lifeline for All.'
We reach out to all who are in need, including the unemployed and underemployed, the homeless and near homeless, immigrants, the frail elderly, individuals with physical and developmental challenges, families in crisis, those struggling with addictions, at-risk youth, victims of domestic abuse, and neglected and abused children.
JCS is a Beneficiary Agency of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and an Impact Partner of United Way of Miami-Dade.

Social services for Nazi victims have been supported by a grant from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Holocaust Survivor Emergency Assistance Fund.

JCS is funded by The Children’s Trust, a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.

The Alliance for Aging and the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs sponsor some JCS programs for seniors. 
JCS’ Employment and Behavioral Health services are accredited by CARF International.
