After 15 years at the Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy location, we will be closing Joe's Burgers & Bar effective Sunday, August 30. Our lease is up and we are moving away from the full-service restaurant and focusing on the quick serve, fast casual.

Joe's Burgers is in a very exciting stage as we are continuing to expand and grow. We opened at Oregon State University in March 2015 and are opening at University of Oregon this Fall. We have moved our corporate offices across the street, as we still wish to be a part of this special neighborhood.

We thank you for your loyal patronage and support throughout the years and hope that you will visit us at one of our other 3 locations in Portland (Bridgeport Village, Downtown, and Portland State University).

Thank you,
Joe and the Joe's Burgers Team

Their bar area could be so great, but instead, music choice is the WORST, bartenders are overworked that they're doing 20 things at once, making it super lonely if you're just looking to chat it up a bit. Too bad. But the food is good.

I read these reviews and my girl works down the road. I admit I was a skeptic listening to the nit pickers about this place. Rest assured the burgers are all 1/4pound unless u get the Red Robin priced baskets at 1/3pound. If you are looking for a LIGHT burger not teeming with grease and fattening ingredients come here. The veggies don't mask the meat and its the perfect ratio. I only paid 6.75$ for my meal. And recieved a better experience than if I went to McDonald's or other cheap joints. This is fast food quality but dipped in dine-in ability. A much better choice if the guys are hungry wanna drink and watch the game don't go anywhere if u craving fast food for the perfect price go to Joes ;-)

Great food, full of flavor and not greasy at a more than fair price. Very happy to have found.

We've been twice, but will never return. Food is what you would expect from a place call "Burgers & Bar." However, the food is expensive for what you get and it takes forever to get your food. The first time we had to wait 30min to get our food. Our second trip we waited 35 minutes for our 3 meals and then tracked down our server to ask him to check on the food. His response was to see if he could at least get our daughter's meal soon. During that 35 minute wait, our server had never returned to our table. While it was a Friday, we went early and the restaurant was not crowded. When my wife mentioned the wait to the manger, she had no response. Literally, she didn't say anything back. Inexcusable behavior from a manager. We actually decided to leave without ever getting our food.

I truly enjoyed my dinning experience here. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is attentive to their customers needs. Their hamburgers are worth stopping in for.

The burgers are thin for sure, but for the flavor & price it's a very above-average burger. Get the double if you require more meat, but the single had enough of the meat flavor to not be overpowered by the toppings. The gluten free bun we ordered was extra cost, but my gluten free girlfriend said it was one of the best hamburgers she's been able to enjoy due to high quality bun. Ball out of the park on that one. The fries were top notch, from-frozen-package, thin-cut, consistently crispy, heavy on the salt. Proper burger joint fries. Price was more than fair, service was very good, and the food came out much quicker than I expected. The restaurant is in a very nice woodsy setting with outdoor seating. The interior is not too busy, and has multiple levels of seating. The bathrooms were outdoor-latrine stinky and full of stale air. Abhorrent bathroom conditions. Get some air in there, folks.

Jessica, I'm glad you're a fan of the burgers, but I'm sorry you thought things were a little expensive. We absolutely stand by the quality of our food, and we think it's reflected in the price. With that said, I hope you'll give us another chance to knock it out of the park! -Joe, Owner

Joe's is a great family-owned burger restaurant, the classic is amazing! Also, try the chicken taquitos, they are the best. This place is a great value as well, with everything on the menu for under $10!
Response from the owner - a year ago
Good call on the taquitos, and you never can go wrong with the classic, can you? I really appreciate the feedback. Hope we see you again soon! -Joe, Owner
