Remarkably good wines - finally an IL winery that knows how to make dry red and white. But their sweet and dessert wines are great quality too. Highly recommend the Norton, Pinot Noir, and Illinois port. Yes, a port from IL too. Tasting is well worth it.

Visited Matthiessen State Park and ended up coming here after our hike. My boyfriend and I have never been to a winery before and this was our first wine tasting. Loved everything from the price to the help we got tasting. Definitely recommend it to anyone in the area, it has a nice bar feel but with wine! The little shops around the location are also a plus.

The person behind the bar was more interested in talking to his friends and giving them samples (that were half a glass) then waiting on the other people there. Several people came in and left after receiving the same lack of attention.

Very cheap tasting but honestly liked the wines and service way more at August Hill.
