It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark(Howard Ruff).
I have been thinking about the story of Noah all week and my thoughts have been on the fact that in the story I learnt as a child Noah only saved his family (or the Almighty only saved Noah’s family). If that story is true then it is not what nation you belong to it is whether you belong to a family who obeys the Almighty. Presumably all in Noah’s family believed or because it was Noah the whole family was saved. In the Bible it was not Noah who asked for unbelievers to be destroyed.
In the Quran, Noah asks for the unbelievers to be destroyed. Noah’s wife and one of his sons were destroyed too. Only believers were allowed on the ark, and only believers survive is the message of the Quran. According to the Quran, you may be the wife or the son but if you are an unbeliever you are not of his family. So Noah was told that his son and wife were not his family. In the Quran there is a stark contrast – believer – saved, unbeliever – dead.  A believer is someone who believes in the Quran.

LESSON 2: All the successes in life come from good communication. Learn it and practice it. Good communication is a learned skill.  Language is also a learned skill. Why do we have a language? It is to communicate. It is the communication aspect that affects our success or otherwise as much as our knowledge of English. This is why effective English development needs to include communication skills. As English and communication are skills they have to be regularly practised.

ARE WE BETTER THAN ANIMALS?   I realized today that in the animal kingdom it is not age that is a factor in mating or rulership  but whether the animal still has the strength and the ability to command leadership.  We should not accept or reject a leader on the basis of age but whether they can do the job for a specified time.  For example in the American presidential election - you just need a leader who can last four years.   The same with marriage - age could be irrelevant if both parties are fit, strong and well.
