This week in golf history, Young Tom Morris shot the first recorded Hole-in-One on September 16, 1869 at Prestwick in Scotland during the Open Championship. It came on the 8th hole, which was a 166-yard par-3. Morris won his 2nd Open that year and would win again the following year in 1870 to claim the Challenge Belt outright. Young Tom won the Open a 4th time in 1872, which was the next playing of the Open as the 1871 was cancelled. #TBT

This week in golf history, Ben Hogan earned his first professional win at the Hershey Four-Ball with teammate Vic Ghezzi on September 4th, 1938 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. That year the tournament format was a Round Robin Four-Ball Invitational. The next year in March, Hogan earned his first individual win at the North & South Open. Vic Ghezzi went on to win the 1941 PGA Championship and a career 17 professional events. #GolfHistory #TBT
