On a Saturday the Zoo opened a 1/2 hour late at 9:30 instead of 9. The biggest complaint is that they had the Elephants locked up between the opening of the Zoo ans12:30 ( SO OUR KIDS MISSED OUT). They don't have Giraffes feedings until 11:00 AM and most of the Giraffes won't eat unless your first in line then they dwindle off and your stuck with no Giraffes to feed and a super long line. One thing that is cool is the water park and play ground for the kids but this zoo needs better management.

First time going there it was great my hubby and I loved it but make sure you rent a bike, we didn't and omg we where hurting towards the end lol, but its a great place to go. Will visit again but next time we are getting a bike lol.... They have alot of cool activities, can get wet, rent a duck you can paddle on the lake etc... I highly recommend getting there early because it will take all day to see it all. Have fun! :)

This zoo was very nice when we went. My fiance and I had a really great time feeding he giraffes! There were plenty of exhibits from reptiles to tigers. The organization is really cool too, you go through each exhibit by the origin of which the animal lives. All ages could learn from the experience. I usually disagree with wild animal captivity but these beautiful creatures have a lot of land to roam, it is the closest thing to watching them in their natural environments. I would say the koala cages could be a little bigger and better maintained though.

I visited the zoo with some friends last weekend, most of whom where shocked and saddened to see the conditions under which some animals where forced. Particularly, the koala cage was extremely small and disturbing. Koalas are a valuable and frail species, and it broke my heart to see this creature under such deplorable conditions at the zoo. To make things worse, children tend to go unsupervised and bang on the glass continuously. I regret to say that our visit to the zoo reminded us of why it is we don't frequent it and will most likely never return.

Too much unused space and not enough animals. There were no open kiosks to get drinks or snacks. Shows were cancelled without notice. The petting zoo was closed. I would have left 2 stars, but there were 2 things that pushed the review to 3 stars. First, we fed giraffes - that's pretty cool. Second was a staff member named Rachel. Rachel saw that we were waiting for a show that was cancelled (without any notice) and she brought out an animal for us anyway. She did the same later in the day for another "un-show".
