A demoscene artist with too many awards to count. I mostly use mature 8-bit platforms such as VIC-20, C-64 and Atari 2600 to create my audiovisual works. For me it's never about luddism or nostalgia, it's about challenge, statement and esthetical preference. Most of my artistic projects are solo, which makes me programmer, scriptwriter, musician and graphics artist at the same time.
Politically and philosophically, my favorite explanation for all the bad things in the world is that human beings too easily become slaves of their own creations, both material and immaterial. Instead of using our technologies, philosophies and social constructs as tools to support the well-being of the planet, we let them become our masters. Money, ideologies, religions and even computer software, they all seem to have lives of their own nowadays. In order to regain the control, I want to advocate awareness, wisdom and a pan-hacker attitude.
