+Justine Andersen as we finish up, please help me with this! It's a little outside the scope of this course maybe, but it's simple foliage etc that I can't get right. It's an image of me supposedly being engulfed by leaves and weeds, but it just looks like heck!

This one is less about Depth (because I want it to have a Schulz-like flatness kind of) and more about the Details, which I am messing up!

I was cleaning out my hard drive and found these images. Seriously, I don't even know this artist, Brian Sanders, from 1967 in Woman's Journal. But I think they are lovely and manage the clarity Justine is talking about really well.

The first is more bold, clear and striking, the second is more ambitious in managing lots of details, but does a great job placing the woman's face on that bright white middleground.

I'm really interested in the man in the western suit staring so intently at her too. The little strips of white, the blue above him pushing to him, and his bent arm all draw our attention to his attention too.

Hi everyone,

Justine's two other videos for this section are live now, the tracing paper demo, and the wall-sized rendering in black and white video. This first week is packed!

Have fun!
