The excellent neo-gothic facade of this library entreats you to visit it.Made famous and touristed with the belief that the inspiration to write Harry Potter began, you pay to visit this library which can obviously be discounted for your purchase at the store. Around the same area, you’ll find Clerigos Tower and Carmo and Carmelitas churches that are totally worth a visit.

It is just a place of beauty. This bookstore seems like it was taken straight out of a Harry Potter book. Give it a visit, it is worth it.

Gorgeous book store inside and out. Slightly crowded with limited opportunity for photos but it was a cool experience nonetheless.

It's a really beautiful and uniqe bookstore. Too bad almost all of the books are in Portuguese. Don't think it's worth waiting in a que though...

This is a fantastic place for those who like books, art, architecture, history ... a living place that must be visited again and again ... Its a pleasure to go there, select a few books to study before buying climb the magnificent staircase, sit on the blue arm chairs, ask for a Port Wine, and calmly browse the books, select the ones we want to buy, enjoy a special moment! Photograph the place in all its details, feel the history, the culture.
