There has been something that has been bothering for the past couple of days and I would like to get your opinions on it
I know most of us here are gamers and I would assume that some of us care about characterisiation and what that represents. The issue at hand is the recent brouhaha that the Kotaku article (linked) released on the premise of Lara Crofts character in the new Tomb Raider game.
I personally found this new direction to be a positive one and took both the series, the character and gaming in general into a more adult and intellectual path. However, it seemed like I was the only one on the internet who thought this.
I want to know if you guys think this is in some way sexist or condescending in any way and why?
before you make the final verdict I would like to refer you to this article where the Producer explains himself in better detail (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-06-13-tomb-raider-studio-addresses-lara-controversy
