I ordered a double espresso and was served not even a ristretto but a laughably small volume of coffee in the bottom of an espresso shot glass. What little coffee there was, was so under extracted as to be undrinkable. I was trying all afternoon - with limited success - to get rid of the foul taste left by the first (and only) sip! I know there are many variables involved in the espresso extraction process but this was unreasonable. The cakes looked ok and the milk in my friend's cappuccino looked very well steamed - no large bubbles at all. But cappuccinos are easy - the sugars in the milk mask most of the flavour of the espresso shot. If you know and appreciate what good coffee is, don't come here.

One of the best cups of coffee I've had in Glasgow. Scones and other baked goods are top notch. only bummer, no Wi-Fi.

Nice coffee place. Pleasing interior design more bustling atmosphere but not so much as to be distracting with a great selection of hot drinks and in particular interesting hot chocolates. Staff are also very pleasant. Definitely worth a look.

Not quite as good as everyone makes out. Good for a Glasgow coffee shop I guess but I've tasted better and gotten better service in the West End. Upon asking one of the baristas what he would recommend for an Aeropress coffee, I was told "look behind you at the blends we do and pick one of them". Great sales pitch mate. I think this is a good first foray into speciality coffee for a new taster, but this left a bitter (and unwelcome) taste on my tongue. I won't be back.

What promises to be a great experience is actually all style and very little substance. The coffee - artisan or not - isn't very good. I'm all for a European experience but (and I know it's a different continent) the Americano was far too small a serving and, if artisan means anything, it must means fruit-flavoured. Coffee should taste like coffee not have an indistinguishable fruity tang to it. The carrot cake was highly disappointing, the scones are flavourless, the cafe has no wifi, I couldn't get a mobile signal, and the seats are actually incredibly uncomfortable. And, lastly, but frustratingly, the table was wobbly. These aren't things I would normally moan about but just added to the let down, and everything that's wrong with it became noticeable. As coffee shop experiences go, it looks good and has a very west end crowd, but in reality, it is poor. It promises a lot and with a few adjustments, could be great.

excellent respite from the bustle of West-end life. An ideal stop off to refuel with a variety of caffienated drinks, or to stock up with fresh beans to brew at home. I wholeheartedly recommend the treacle tart, but leave a slice for me!

Best coffee in town. Seems to be run by Aussies,,,if anyone's ever had a coffee in Melbourne they'll know this is a good thing. Very nice atmosphere too. Update - coffees with milk are good, their espresso's are too strong though. Very bitter and acidic, seriously hardly any liquid - too short.
