Love the great selection of books and charming selection of local spirits. Only complaint is they didn't have "Jumpin' The Rails" by S W Slavich in stock.
A definite stop for every trip to Topsail Island.
My wife and I were vacationing in nearby North Topsail Beach and went here on one of the final nights we were in town and wish we would have found this place sooner! We had a great time listening to some local live music that was fantastic. The bookstore/gift shop/coffee shop/wine and beer shop is one of the greatest places on the island. This place is a must see and we loved it! Definitely will be coming back when we return to the island!
It is a lovely little bookstore/gift shop which I visited in May of 2012. A perfect vacation spot to shop. The book selection was nice and they even have some bargain or used books to sell. Fun, creative gifts were available as well as some great Quarter Moon mugs from Daneen Pottery.

This is a quaint, fun little book store and coffee shop. The book selection is much greater than you'd expect from their small space, and the coffee and smoothies were very tasty. About half the shop is devoted to very artsy, creative gifts, cards, and other trinkets, and they also provide reasonable paid wireless internet access (I think it was $5.00 for 24 hours, might have been less). The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
There's nothing more fun than happening upon the perfect bookstore while on vacation. When we discovered Quarter Moon Books, it made an already delightful vacation just perfect. It's warm and welcoming and fun. A terrific selection of books along with gifts that any reader would be happy to find. A beautiful selection of natural fiber clothing and sterling jewelry. I can't wait to get back.
Quarter Moon is the epitome of the little beach bookstore! A careful selection of sand friendly reading, lots of local authors and local interest titles, and they also carry gifts from local artists and craftsman--jewelry, clothing, etc. There is wifi on the premises, coffee behind the counter, a lovely little outdoor deck and garden, and after 5 pm it becomes a wine bar. You might not even bother going to the beach.
