How Does Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) Feel?
The most common challenge I've had is communicating how RLS feels to the average unaffected person, so they can appreciate the severity of the RLS condition. I recently shared this analogy and it seemed to resonate, so I'll share it here for the benefit of all.
* How does RLS feel? *
Imagine being tickled, but in a nice way, at least to start. The first time you might enjoy it and laugh. Then, 30 seconds later, you get tickled again. You might still laugh, but you also might start to become a bit to more concerned, or on-guard, or even slightly annoyed. 30 seconds later, another tickle. The situation starts to become your entire focus, most likely, with many different negative emotions beginning to develop. 30 seconds later, another tickle. A full-blown annoyance begins to brew within you, causing you to break focus with whatever you are doing and pay the "tickle" full attention. Now, try to imagine your normal everyday tasks - eating, sleeping, being at work in a professional environment, sitting in a business meeting, watching TV or a movie, being in a car or airplane, anything you do in the course of a typical day - while getting tickled every 20-30 seconds for hours on end and unable to do anything about it. Sound like fun or a small inconvenience? Think you could deal with that happening every day for the rest of your life? Replace the tickle with a strong muscular jerk (like what happens to your leg when the doctor hits your knee - it jerks up uncontrollably), and this is a small sense of what happens to those of us with RLS.
My condition is severe, pretty much 24 hours a day now; in fact, my grandfather was one of the original case studies with Dr. Arthur S. Walters. So, I'm in the top 0.1-0.5% most severe cases right now, having had RLS since about 18 months old. For me, even with strong medication, including narcotics (which I do not like taking), I sometimes get no relief. The best description I came up with is torture because when something affects you nearly constantly, and you can have only minimal impact on its affect upon you, to me, that's torture. I hope this is useful for sharing with your friends / family who don't understand what RLS does to you. Everyone with RLS has my sincerest love and respect!! For living every day with a positive attitude, a smile, and with energy is an amazing feat of will-power for anyone with RLS; proof positive that we ARE more than just physical in our existence. Best to all...

Giant Michigan bird... rarely seen in the wild. LOL... this deer was in broad daylight eating from the bird feeders in the front yard this morning around 10. Normally they visit after 10pm. Pretty funny.

From more than 20 years of controlled experiments, the multidimensional universe (attached image) is considered an observable fact. We live on the outer crust, the lowest energy dimension. A great Einstein quote reiterates this fact, “What we have called matter is energy (light), whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses." When we leave this physical universe, either after death or by out-of-body exploration, our consciousness is raised in frequency to match the 1st energy dimension. After that, once you learn how to raise your conscious frequency even more, you’ll be able to go down into the depths of our known multidimensional universe, getting ever closer to the pure source of everything.
