This was the WORST hotel service I have ever had. I have stayed at many hotels and never experienced service as bad as the Hard Rock at Palm Springs. First, we arrived early and checked in at the front desk. They said they should have are room ready by noon. We went to the pool and found that there was trash and plastic cups all around the pool area. The pool water was foggy and dirty looking. We ordered blended drinks from a waiter. We waited about 30 minutes for him to come back and tell us that they DO NOT have a blender. Really? So we tried ordering other drinks and he said they didn't have gentlemen jack, remmie martin, patron, grey goose, single barrel.... What do you have!? They were out of everything! Some friends we met at the pool went up to their room only to find people sleeping when they opened their door. Ridiculous!! We went to the front desk at 12 for our room and they said to come back at 2. We came back at 2 they said to come back at 4. WTF! When we finally got our room it was NOT a pool view like we booked. There was a small fridge but you could not use it because it was full of their bar drinks. There were TONS of students running and yelling through the halls all through the night. They were obscenely drunk and belligerent and most likely under age. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is HORRIBLY managed and under staff. They were not prepared for a regular weekend at all. I will never stay here again.

ELVIS PRESLEY GUN RECEIPTS Cool hotel that is centrally located in Palm Springs by downtown. Lots of music memorabilia and great lounge with pool table. Awesome events at the pool area during the summer. Cheapest rates are Sunday to Thursday

I stayed here a long time ago and thought I'd try it again. Only stayed one night for my boyfriend's birthday surprise night. Valet was very professional and fast with service. I had a little wait at the front desk but greeted friendly. Check in is at 4pm which I think is way too late and I arrived at 3:30pm and my room was still not available. I had to wait in the lounge but only for a few minutes as they found a different room on the first floor availabe and offered that to me so I took it. The room was nice looking and I ordered a fridge for my room which came very quickly. The only negatives I saw were the patio was worn looking and not enough lighting in room & the front desk area was very worn but I knew the hotel was switching over so I knew refurbishing was soon to take place. I had ordered a limo to pick me up and they called my room to let me know it had arrived and was waiting for me. Everything fit our needs perfectly for that one night and my boyfriend thought the hotel was very cool and trendy, although we didn't use their ammentities around the hotel so I can only comment on the room and the service we received. It was closely located to the restaurant we dined at (Spencer's Restaurant) which was magnificent by the way and everything you'd need was centrally located. Looking forward to seeing the upgrade when it becomes The Hard Rock Hotel and will stay again.

Came here to DJ NYE. Non functional heat during the evening. Better get plastered during the day so that you pass out during the cold cold evenings and not have to deal with the broken HVAC like I did. The manager gave me her card to take care of us for the next time, I've made several calls, haven't heard from her still.

Our recently stay at the Hard Rock was very unpleasant. Requested to have a king size bed in turn had to stay in the room queen-size beds at a high RATE. We found the room to be very dark with little lighting to read. We could not found out why we were getting little red bits on our bodies. After the second night we found out that there was BED BUGS. We were out of there......

I went with a girlfriend yesterday to check it out and have dinner. First off, it was dead! there were very little customers and guests around, and the many employees standing talking to each other. We must have walked by 15 employees and NONE of them acknowledged us or even said hi! As we walked over to Sessions, the restaurant, the hostess saw us and turned and gave us her back so she can reach into her purse and take out her cell phone. She then turned to answer her phone, didn't even make eye contact and told the other hostess, "Can you take care of them, I need to answer this call"...really!! if you have a personal call that is more important than your new job then go home! and don't work! So the other hostess sat us at the bar. The bartender was so monotone and no smile the whole time we sat and had our drink. It just made the atmosphere absolutely awkward. They keep up this so called customer service and I guaranty this hotel will be shutting its doors soon.

I researched several 4 star hotels in Palm Springs at length. After reading Trip Advisors many great reviews I thought I was getting a great place to stay. WRONG! It was a nightmare staying here. I will never go back or recommend this to anyone. We had the most poor service we have ever experienced in our lives! A skeleton staff, the phones were never answered night or day, valet was never to be found, housekeeping had to be called several times a day, no one ever came to unlock the safe for us. No bartender was ever at the bar in the lobby. The restaraunt was hit and miss, if you waited at the hostess stand long enough...you might find someone free at the desk who would seat you in the empty dining room, we waited for 20 minutes twice. The food was good. An omelet, fruit, coffee, soda was 41.00$, really! Pool area was overrated, dirty towels everywhere along with dirty cups and trash. The room was decent, clock didn't work, dark room with little lighting. Very loud guest at all hours of the night. This is also a hotel who cater's to the gay population. This was not posted as other hotels have claimed. 90% gay guest with nearly all gay staff who often showed PDI. Shuttle service was a joke, they left my son standing in the baking sun at the airport for over a 1/2 hr, then they said it would be another 15 min before they could go get, I insisted they go then, they opted to have him ride in a cab and they would credit my account, they never put any type of credit on for this. No security presence at all. Entrance was extremely hard to find. There computers were down at checkout and I nearly missed my plane, I had to leave without completing this stay. Hated this place! It has a lot of potential if they had good management and staff and $$ to update. No return for this family!
