Worst service ever. I bought a computer and the motherboard went out so I took it back because it was still under warranty and Micro Center said they repair for HP. So I turned in the computer and they told me it would be 3-4 days to get a new motherboard from HP and I should have my laptop within a week. So I called a week later and they said they have received the board and will have it installed next day. I call the following day and I am told its not ready it will be the following day. This went on for 3 days so I asked to see if I could talk to the service manager. They took my info and no one ever called back. I decide to go to the store myself next day and still laptop wasn't ready. The guy that's working on the computer said once again he has been out and it will be ready tomorrow. So I waited all day and called in the evening and the service guy says I left a message on you cell phone that I can't get a screw out of the motherboard so I will have another service guy look at it. So I called next day and asked to speak to the manager and they said he is in a meeting and took my information so he could call me back. Once again no call back. So I finally I get an email at the end of the day that my computer is ready. No call from the manager not even and apology for the delay. And then they send me a email to fill out a survey for customer satisfaction. Really...

I like their prices and I love the level of service you get here. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes because there are lots of other customers but it's worth the wait. They've always answered every question I've had and their employees know their products. They also have some very good sales going on and I don't want to miss any of them. The only complaints I have is that they're not in Saginaw, Texas and I'm not on their mailing list. Otherwise this place is AWESOME!!!!!

While I've shopped here for a number of things and been pleased with pricing (although beware of their "Clearance Items" that are often above-market priced) -- this review is really for the service department based on my experience a week ago... My laptop started blue-screen/rebooting every 15 minutes and so suddenly I have an emergency. Took my laptop to Microcenter with a very explicit instruction - replace the SSD as I suspected it was the culprit based on previous experiences. But, my laptop is an ultabook with tricky "must disassemble to access" hard drive replacement. Plus, with a randomly rebooting unstable existing drive, I didn't have much hope they could save the data but asked them to try. Having explained all this, I was prepared for a reasonably priced bill. I was quoted $69 for hard drive installation and cloning. And they thought they could get it back that evening! So, that evening rolls around and no word, so I call. Sure enough the technician is on his third try to clone the drive. I see the cascading charges rolling up in my head but I still want my data so I take the head-in-the-sand approach and ask them to soldier on. Tech calls the next morning, laptop is ready, appears stable and they appear to have recovered all the old data. I go pick it up and the charge is... $69, just as quoted! I couldn't have been more pleased. So hats off to Microcenter for persistence and very reasonable service pricing and turn-around time! Again, I could not have been more pleased! (And to anyone who thinks Intel SSD's are highly reliable, I have one with 2yrs on it and minimal usage that says they aren't all that any more!)

1) Never purchase a refurbished computer from them. They are not quality refurbs. 2) Never have anything serviced through their in-house service department. a) They don't communicate in a timely fashion regarding your repairs. b) There is no significant knowledge about what they're working on. For example, they rebuilt my software when the laptop had a motherboard issue. c) They do not backup the machines before performing work on them. In my case, they caused a Windows validation issue when working on the machine which resulted in my data not being accessible. Therefore, I lost all of my data on the laptop. 3) Their management has no sense compassion for their customers or really any customer service skills at all. After 4 trips to their store, they decided to return my laptop without my consent (after telling me all they had to do was reload the OS) and without backing up my data. The manager said, "I'll just refund your purchase price and extended warranty so we can be done with it". Really???!!! You sent my laptop back and lost all my data, and you have absolutely nothing else to say? My overall experience with their sales teams has been reasonable. However, with my recent experience with the service department, I will no longer do business with Micro Center.

Best prices in town or they match...and match Internet prices as well....they take returns with out a hassle and have knowledgable people on staff to help...not just shelf attendents. I go there for all of my computer needs! I have purchased a lot of refurbished laptops and computer hardware...still have my current refurbished laptop from 3 years ago and still going strong.

Terrible customer service at checkout. I went in a little while before closing to get some details about the microcenter credit card. The person at the register was incredibly rude, so much so I was actually taken aback by it. He composed himself a little towards the end of our conversation but after that experience I'll just buy from Newegg.

Outstanding store!! Even if you know what you are looking for, ask an associate! They often have better deals in the store than you see online!!! I have saved money and walked out with better PC components because I was shown some great bundles specials!!
