In1798, John Stump built a gristmill on Stafford Road in what is now Susquehhana State Park. TSW Roofing Solutions repaired a portion of the mill's cedar shake roof, as well as slate roofs on two outbuildings, including the carriage house shown here. We're happy to share the good feedback we received from the ranger in charge of the project~ "Jim: Your crew did nice work. I just did a walk through and the spring house roof especially looks nice. You can hardly tell there was ever a problem with the mill roof." #cedarshakeroofrepair #historicroofrepair #slateroofrepairharfordcounty

A new cedar shake roof with copper flashings graces the 18th century stone house behind Jerusalem Mill's gristmill! TSW Roofing Solutions replaced the old, moss-covered roof with a completely new roof that will withstand the area's humidity much better than the previous roof (which lasted an incredible 23 years). #cedarshakeroofing #historicroofrepair

18th century stone building at Historic Jerusalem Mill Village with the old roof torn off to make way for a new cedar shake roof. It's not often that ordinary people get to see the "guts" of such an old roof! #cedarshakeroofing #historicroofrepair

Algae and moss had grown so thick on the roof of this 18th century stone building that it could almost be mowed! TSW Roofing Solutions replaced the roof in 2014. Take a look at the rest of our pictures to see how we followed recommendations of the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau for areas of high humidity. Visit Historic Jerusalem Mill Village to see the real thing!
