Dehumidifiers - Why use a Dehumidifier?
Humidity can lead to the growth of molds. These molds are dangerous to people's health. By using a dehumidifier during mold removal, we can ensure that the air is dry enough so that the mold will not return.

Dehumidifiers - How Does it Work?
A dehumidifier takes moisture out of the air by sucking in mist air on one side, moving that air over some ice cold tubes that causes the moisture to collect on these tubes and then drip into a bucket of lube, and pushing the dry air out the other. This dry air then mixes with the moist air making it a little drier, which in turn is pulled into the unit to become drier over and over again.

Dehumidifiers - What are Dehumidifiers?
A dehumidifier is an appliance that reduces the level of humidity in the air. Humid air can cause mold and mildew to grow inside homes, which has various health risks.

Negative Air Machines - Why Use An Air Scrubber?
Using an air scrubber during mold/dust cleanup is extremely important for health and liability reasons. If mold or other hazardous materials are released in the air they may contaminate neighboring areas of your home or office which were previously un contaminated. Mold spores may travel via the air to other parts of a building and can colonize clean carpets, walls , ducting, clothing or furniture in work area.

Negative Air Machines - How Does it Work?
By creating negative pressure, air scrubbers capture the contaminated air and produces clean non-contaminated air. A negative pressure environment will help to contain the mold, dust, particles and odors within the workspace containment barrier. Air always flows from areas of higher pressure to areas of lower pressure, Creating and maintaining negative pressure creates inward airflow direction through any leaks or openings in the containment barrier. This prevents airborne contaminates from escaping into and contaminating other parts of the work area.

Negative Air Machines - What are Negative Air Machines? - Negative air machines are designed to filter air in numerous job sites including National Disasters, Construction, Mold Remediation, Painting, Grinding & Welding. They can also be used to set Negative or Positive Pressure isolation rooms, useful for containing airborne containments such as: Dirt, Dust, Drywall Dust, Sawdust, Metal fumes, Smoke, Molds, Fungi and other hazardous materials

Stachybotrys atra (Allergenic and Toxigenic) - Best known as "toxic black mold" several strains of this fungus (s. atra, S. chartarum and S. alternans are synonymous) may produce a trichothecene mycotoxin - Saratoxin H - which is poisonous by inhalation. Chronic exposure has caused cold and flu symptoms, fatigue, diarrhea, headaches, sore throat, hair loss, immune system suppression, memory loss and severe brain damage.
Whereas most mold spores can begin growing after just 24 hours of wetness, Stachybotrys spores take at least 48 hours of wetness to begin growth. Stachybotrys survives and grows best in a continually wet environment like a slow water leak in a wall. Stachybotrys spores are rarely airborne. Stachybotrys is usually identified by direct swabs or lift type samples of the mold itself with laboratory analysis. When active and growing in a wet environment, the mold can look black, shiny, and slimy. The spores will die readily after release. The dead spores are still allergenic and toxigenic.

Alternaria (Allergenic, some species may be Toxigenic) - This genus is extremely widespread and ubiquitous. It is commonly found in outdoor samples or soil, seeds and interiors, such as window frames. The species Alternaria alternata is capable of producing tenuazonic acid and other toxic metabolites which may be associated with disease in humans and animals. Alternaria produces large spores, suggesting that the spores from this fungi are deposited in the nose, mouth, and upper respiratory tract. They are also common allergens in humans, growing indoors and causing hay fever or found in the soil and water as well as indoors and on objects. They can grow thick colonies which are usually black or gray. Many human health disorders can be caused by these fungi, allergies are common, but serious infections are rare, except in people with compromised immune systems. However, species of this fungal genus are often prolific producers of a variety of toxic compounds. The effects most of these compounds have on animal and plant health are not well known.
