Ann Bowdan has been with the station since August 1997, as a reporter, an anchor and medical specialist.
Ann grew up in Lexington, Ky., but she enjoys Louisville's diversity and big-city feel. She says the best part of her job is being able to meet people throughout the community and to inform viewers about medical breakthroughs that could change their lives.
She lists interviews with Woody Harrelson and Evander Holyfield as two of the most memorable of her career. Another memorable moment includes having the opportunity to speak in front of 45,000 people at the Billy Graham Crusade when it came to Louisville.
Living in Kentucky provides the perfect outlet for Ann's main hobby. For more than 20 years, she has shown and trained Arabian horses, placing first in regional and state competitions. She even won first place in a special Media Class, at the Shelbyville Horse Show. Ann also stays active with her love of cycling and running. She enjoys the Triple Crown of Racing and the miniMarathon and has completed several cycling treks, including the Horsey Hundred in Lexington.
Ann's pride and joy is her son, Devin, who is an energetic boy who loves to play the piano and the drums.
