This being Oscar time again, I had to show my daughter-in-law, Stephanie, holding her first Oscar a few years ago.  :  )

(As an aside, working for United Airlines, she happened to be working aboard the flight when the Oscars were being delivered to the ceremony)

That sounds like the perfect place to be. I sure miss the area. Especially the museums.
Bob is being Bob, as you say. Don't you think.
Humble and shy.
He will prep for the Nobel ceremony probably.
But he is busy, on the road,
and enjoying the view. : )

Set to be broadcast this Autumn on Austin City Limits on PBS

"In a performance for the ages, the New York native traversed all across his astounding FIVE-DECADE career, from Simon & Garfunkel classics to hits from his solo catalog to material from his highly-anticipated upcoming release Stranger to Stranger (out June 3rd).
It was an amazing show that ACL fans will talk about for years to come, and we can’t wait for you to see it when it airs this fall on your local PBS station.."

I agree w/ you, Ms. S.H.. I'm sure that the fact that she is a woman also was a major factor with many sectors of the Trump camp in addition to the anti-minority fervor also present in many area of the country.
Think about a cabinet/appointments made up of people like Giuliani and Gingrich. That's enough to set our country back 40 years. To say nothing of The Supreme Court.
 I shudder at the thought.

Joan Baez on Bob Dylan being awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature

"The Nobel Prize for Literature is yet another step towards immortality for Bob Dylan. The rebellious, reclusive, unpredictable artist/composer is exactly where the Nobel Prize for Literature needs to be.
His gift with words is unsurpassable. Out of my repertoire spanning 60 years, no songs have been more moving and worthy in their depth, darkness, fury, mystery, beauty, and humor than Bob’s. None has been more of a pleasure to sing. None will come again."
-Joan Baez

" If I'd thought about it, I never would've done it
I guess I would've let it slide
If I'd paid attention to what others were thinkin'
The heart inside me would've died

But I was just too stubborn
To ever be governed by enforced insanity
Someone had to reach for the risin' star
I guess it was up to me

If we never meet again
Baby, remember me
How my lone guitar played sweet for you
That old time melody
And the harmonica around my neck
I blew it for you, free
No one else could play that tune
Ya know it was up to me"
The singer and songwriter was recognized for “new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”
