This weekend is the best little Red Dress Run in the world! The Red Dress Run (August 9th) is just that, a 2 mile race wherein all the participants are wearing their most scarlet finery. You'll see boas and high heels and lipstick, and that's just the men! After the race, registered racers can spend the day drinking, dancing and relaxing at the Red Dress After-Party. The whol event is put on by the Hash House Harriers, "A drinking group with a running problem", and contributes thousands of dollars to New Orleans charities. You must be 21 or over AND registered to join this rowdy group, and you can register here: http://www.neworleanshash.com/rdrsignup.asp

Also on August 9th is the Dirty Linen Night, when you dust off that slightly less white linen from last weekend and hit the art galleries and antique and craft shops of the 200 to 1000 blocks of historic Royal Street, as well as galleries on nearby side streets. You might indulge with a dirty martini or some dirty rice, in keeping with the evening's theme. More information may be found here: http://buff.ly/1qzDMAl

Don't forget, all this month is COOLinary New Orleans, so you can enjoy 2-3 course lunch menus for $20 or less and 3 course dinner menus at $35 or less at over 50 spectacular NOLA restaurants! http://www.coolinaryneworleans.com/
