36 Tao Te Ching Zen Buddhism - Big View Buddhism
If you want to shrink something,

you must first allow it to expand.

If you want to get rid of something,

you must first allow it to be given.

This is called the subtle perception

of the way things are.
The soft overcomes the hard.

The slow overcomes the fast.

Let your working remain a mystery.

Just show people the results.

76 Tao Te Ching Zen Buddhism - Big View Buddhism
Men are born soft and supple;

dead, they are stiff and hard.

Plants are born tender and pliant;

dead, they are brittle and dry.
Thus whoever is stiff and inflexible

is a disciple of death.

Whoever is soft and yielding

is a disciple of life.
The hard and stiff will be broken.

The soft and supple will prevail.

Meditation Basics Zen - Big View Buddhism
There is no right or wrong time or place to meditate. Establishing a quiet corner for meditation and the practice of meditating at a similar time each day can be helpful for many beginners on the path. The questions of when, where, and how often will be answered through experience and experimentation. The answers will be different for every person traveling on the path. Meditation deepens through practice and dedication.

First Thoughts of Meditation - Big View Buddhism
The Buddha taught that meditation is “a path of happiness that leads to the highest happiness.” There is no end to the meditative process: it is a lifelong practice that can be undertaken by anyone, regardless of age and spiritual beliefs, and there is no right or wrong time to start on your meditative path.

When the government is too intrusive,

Tao Te Ching: Twelve - Big View Buddhism
Twelve:
Colors blind the eye.
Sounds deafen the ear.
Flavors numb the taste.
Thoughts weaken the mind.
Desires wither the heart.

The Master observes the world
but trust his inner vision.
He allows things to come and go.
His heart is open as the sky.

How does this affect your day?
