SLEEPING ON THE JOB?
Has falling asleep while on the time clock or equivalent, or else while responsible for performing some active or passive job assignment ever happened to you? In some workplaces, this is considered gross misconduct and may be grounds for disciplinary action, including possible termination of employment. However, some employees, such as firefighters or live-in caregivers, are allotted time to sleep during part of their shift. While some employees who sleep while on duty in violation do so intentionally and hope not to get caught, others intend in good faith to stay awake, and accidentally doze. It is concerning that it may appear to some as a lack of productivity, or danger that may occur if your job requires you to operate machinery. Naturally!
If sleeping is not written in your offer letter upon the time of hire. Try your best to not be a victim of sleeping on the job. Get proper rest at home. Turn Off the television and the internet for a good night's rest! SWEET DREAMS
