It may look like a mossy rock, but it’s actually a shrub with thousands of branches and clusters of tiny green leaves. Known as the Llareta, the shrub is a relative of parsley and lives in the Atacama Desert in Chile.

Peanuts are warm season crops and need four to five months of warm weather and well drained soil. There are four types of Peanuts; Spanish, Valencia, Runner and Valencia. Spanish peanuts are known for their small size which is ideal for use as roasted snacks. Valencia kernels are covered with bright red skin and are known for its sweetness. Runners are famous for making peanut butter and Virginia has the biggest kernels.

In 2004, Drip Depot was founded by Marty and Denise (our owners) based on their personal experience related to creating their own drip irrigation system. Being new to drip irrigation, they looked for help both instore and online. Without finding adequate help online or offline, they decided to order a kit, which seemed to be the answer but ended up being too small. Marty and Denise then ordered more parts online. When the package arrived much to their dismay, they found most of the items they received were not what they had ordered. To make a long story short, it took nearly 6 months to get their drip system up and running. However, when the system was up and running, Denise, an avid gardener, couldn’t believe how well it watered her plants and how much time it saved her compared to hand watering all her plants. Having witnessed how awesome a properly working drip irrigation system is and how frustrating getting help creating one was. Marty and Denise aimed to create a website that would empower, educate and encourage the average consumer to design and install their own drip irrigation system. Years later, Drip Depot still strives to educate, empower and encourage everyone who visits our site.
