The The Bismarck Tribune reported last week that there's a bad batch of heroin going around, and law enforcement recommends throwing it out. This message was part of an effort to prevent overdoses.

"Inherently, law enforcement wants everyone to throw out their heroin, or not buy it in the first place. But this week’s warning was specific. She said the single payer amendment that was voted down last month was a “political stunt" and that Congress needs “realistic solutions." What do you think?

Are you worried your health insurance premium will increase again? You're right to worry. The The Bismarck Tribune reported that Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota has requested a nearly 24 percent average premium increase for individual insurance plans on the Affordable Care Act marketplace.

The filing, submitted in June for rates effective Jan. 1, is being reviewed by the North Dakota Insurance Department.
