Hi Haley -- No, hypnosis itself is not bad for you. It's not a drug; it's not mind control The hypnotic state is a state that ALL of us go in and out every day. You actually hypnotize yourself; a hypnotist just guides you into a very relaxed state, but you are in control. (If the hypnotist asked you for your ATM password, you would not give it to him. You'd probably open your eyes and say, "What????") So, if you listen to this recording, you'll gently fall asleep and you'll wake up at a natural time. You're just asleep. Who knows what that time will be? You decide!  If you're afraid you'll sleep too long, set an alarm. If you'd like to have even more control, give yourself the suggestion that you'll wake up refreshed at a specific time. For a few moments, visualize your clock at that time. Imagine hearing a church bell waking you up at that time. This takes practice, so set an alarm, too, rather than be late for work, OK?
