First of all, this song is certainly not the best choice to demonstrate a quality difference between media, mainly because of its "messy" saturated sound. Second, why not mention the obvious peek "aliasing" or flattering that can be seen on the CD waveform, as opposed to the much more detailed peek levels seen on the vinyl waveform ? Third, i don't get the point of applying EQs of any type on either samples. Why not record the vinyl version on a "state-of-the-art" platform (turntable, cell & needle, phono preamp, amp if necessary, then compare it RAW with a "state-of-the-art" recording of the CD ? And just for my information, as i can hear a bloody phenomenal difference between both samples (in favor of the vinyl version, period !), is there any need to EQ the samples to hear the difference better ?
