During my first few coaching sessions with new clients, most are in the head space of thinking about what is not working and what they do not want. They provide lots of detail and color to this conversation. Yet, when I ask them what they do want in life, at work, or with their leadership, they are challenged to describe it.

It requires a different mindset to look at life from a positive lens and give it texture and nuance.

Go ahead, give it a try! Spend at least 30 seconds thinking only about what you want! That short amount of time can be a game changer. Start small and then add another minute each day until you can do this for 15 minutes.

You will notice the difference immediately. You will feel more hopeful, joyful, and aligned to what you want.
