My friends and I combined phylogenetic comparative analyses and pop gen theory to try and figure out what drives chromosomal fusions to fix http://journals.plos.org/plosgenetics/article?id=10.1371/journal.pgen.1005237 really fun problem to work on

Obviously I am biased (my advisor, Luke Harmon, is one of the main instructors) but I agree with Rafael. This is an excellent course that really benefitted me when I took it last year. Very fun too!
Applications to the Santa Barbara Macroevolution in R workshop are now open! This was probably the best workshop I've taken, and I highly recommend anyone with an interest in comparative methods to apply.
