While great news for non-profits in need of volunteers, the stalled economy is taking a serious toll on recent grads in many industries. I suppose the rest of us can take some solace knowing Harvard alum are in the same boat? http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/01/fashion/recent-college-graduates-wait-for-their-real-careers-to-begin.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss
The Limbo Generation, college graduates who entered the job market after the economic downturn, take dead-end jobs while waiting to start their real careers. And waiting. And waiting.

My friend Christopher defeated cancer 20 years ago today. Another friend just began chemo for the same rare form of cancer last week. Chris's post was timely and heartening, and I love him for sharing it. http://bit.ly/qHY7Pc

It's also a lot easier to maintain good habits constantly than to be grammatically lazy in some cases, while trying to clean up in others. One is less prone to make mistakes, when the rules and conventions of the English language are second-nature. I'm always amazed at how many people think that comments on web forums or social networks "don't count," when that's actually the ideal time to be practicing proper written English, so that they will better know what they're doing when grammatical correctness does count.

Excuse me while I weep at my desk as George Lucas continues his systematic destruction of my childhood...can we just file a restraining order to keep him away from his original movies now? http://j.mp/o5fNDx

I know it! George Lucas is single-handedly keeping VHS alive I guess. Your capture card idea is kind of genius.

If only the Mariachi band had been playing a rendition of Baby Beluga...that might be the only way to improve this video.
