Jr. KG Field Trip…Exploring modes of transportation

Under their theme of ‘Vehicles’, Jr. KG. children undertook an exercise to explore different modes of transportation. After discussions and sharing in class, it was time for a field trip to Vishal Automobile Garage(Sarkhej Highway) to gain extended learning and some practical knowledge on the subject.

During their field trip, children had the opportunity to see different vehicles such as Tempo, Car, Ambulance, and a Food Truck. Children got to meet and interact with a Mechanic and other people working in the garage. The mechanic and other team members there demonstrated different processes including washing a car, lifting a car for repairs, etc. They also showed children the inside and outside of the Food Truck and Ambulance.

We thank the team of Vishal Garage for their support.

Mathematics behind learning
Parents of Children from Class 1 to 9 were invited to attend a Mathematics Workshop conducted by our expert faculty. The workshop helped the parents to understand some methods that they can use while working with their child during homework or other sessions. http://ow.ly/i/oECKj http://ow.ly/i/oECO2 http://ow.ly/i/oECQU http://ow.ly/i/oECVa http://ow.ly/i/oED2a http://ow.ly/i/oED8z http://ow.ly/i/oEDdj http://ow.ly/i/oEDhj http://ow.ly/i/oEDmk http://ow.ly/i/oEDrd http://ow.ly/i/oEDwa http://ow.ly/i/oEDAH

Be Car-less for a day
Kudos to Redbricks Parents for their enthusiastic observation of “World Car Free Day.” Setting an example in creating awareness around the need for saving fuel and reducing pollution, parents dropped their children to their respective bus stops either on cycles or by walking. The children proudly shared their experiences of riding a bicycle/walking to the bus stop, and its advantages with their classmates. http://ow.ly/i/oEI2I http://ow.ly/i/oEI3c http://ow.ly/i/oEI3A http://ow.ly/i/oEI43 http://ow.ly/i/oEI4o http://ow.ly/i/oEI4U http://ow.ly/i/oEI5j http://ow.ly/i/oEI5Y http://ow.ly/i/oEI6m http://ow.ly/i/oEI6E http://ow.ly/i/oEI6X http://ow.ly/i/oEI7o http://ow.ly/i/oEI7F http://ow.ly/i/oEI81 http://ow.ly/i/oEI8g http://ow.ly/i/oEIai http://ow.ly/i/oEId3 http://ow.ly/i/oEIdD http://ow.ly/i/oEIe4 http://ow.ly/i/oEIen http://ow.ly/i/oEIeD http://ow.ly/i/oEIf0 http://ow.ly/i/oEIff http://ow.ly/i/oEIfN

Chhote kaviyon ke sang Hindi Diwas
17th September marked the celebration of Hindi Diwas through a showcase of activities and inter-house competitions. Children from Class 1, 2 and 3, 4 recited Hindi Poems and sang patriotic songs, respectively. Students of Class 5 to 9 were divided in two groups and participated in an inter-house competition consisting of two rounds of Hindi Shabd Antakshari and Ad-Mad – wherein the children had to come up with an interesting jingle or a punch line. Vikramaditya house bagged the first position in the Antakshari round and Maharana Pratap house stood first in the advertisement round. http://ow.ly/i/oEFd8 http://ow.ly/i/oEFqC http://ow.ly/i/oEFw7 http://ow.ly/i/oEFBt http://ow.ly/i/oEFGd http://ow.ly/i/oEFKT http://ow.ly/i/oEFQJ http://ow.ly/i/oEFWf http://ow.ly/i/oEGa7 http://ow.ly/i/oEGf3 http://ow.ly/i/oEGsT http://ow.ly/i/oEGDy http://ow.ly/i/oEGIZ http://ow.ly/i/oEGNQ http://ow.ly/i/oEGSQ http://ow.ly/i/oEGXM http://ow.ly/i/oEH2B http://ow.ly/i/oEH8n http://ow.ly/i/oEHdq http://ow.ly/i/oEHhQ http://ow.ly/i/oEHmX http://ow.ly/i/oEHrA http://ow.ly/i/oEHxn http://ow.ly/i/oEHHo http://ow.ly/i/oEHM4 http://ow.ly/i/oEHQR http://ow.ly/i/oEHVf

Readers’ Challenge
Who would have thought that reading could be so much fun? As a part of “Let’s All Read,” children not only have the opportunity to read themselves, but also pose interesting challenges from their favourite books to schoolmates, teachers…and even parents…that can only be answered on reading the book. The books are flying off the library shelves… http://ow.ly/i/obUvH

International Pen Pals!
During a British Council – International Project, the children of Class 2 and 3 had an amazing opportunity to write letters to their peers at the Gilberts Elementary School, Illinois, USA. The objective behind the exchange of letters between the students was to enable them to learn more about life in both countries and understand their distinct cultures. The children had a wonderful time writing to other students like them across the globe and getting to know them better. http://ow.ly/i/o7h3h http://ow.ly/i/o7h3y http://ow.ly/i/o7h3P http://ow.ly/i/o7h40
