No comment needed.
The abominable snowpack in the Sierra Nevada reached an unprecedented low this week, dipping below the historic lows in 1977 and 2014 for the driest winter in 65 years of record-keeping. Electronic surveys show the water content of the snow throughout the Sierra is a shocking 8 percent of the historical average for this time of year, by far the driest it has been since 1950, the year record-keeping began, because of the lack of rain and snowfall...

It doesn't seem to be getting easier.
Is the Florida governor’s race a campaign between a Democrat and a Republican or a battle between Tom Steyer and the Koch brothers?

It was an honorable night.
Joni Mitchell, the guest of honor at the annual black-tie gala held on Friday, remained hospitalized, the state of her health still shrouded in mystery after she was found unconscious in her Los Angeles home more than a month earlier. Journalist Ben Fong-Torres opened the program by recounting his earliest encounter with the Canadian singer-songwriter in 1969 for his first Rolling Stone cover story. The description doesn’t fit only her personal...

I'm liking and backing this trucker-hat mounted virtual reality viewing system.
To make Virtual Reality, well, a reality, we need VR software to flourish. We've made accessible hardware a reality, now onto software!

Quintet featuring Kenny Washington: Kenny Washington is criminally under-documented as a recording artist, but over the past decade, saxophonist Michael O’Neill has worked diligently to craft inspiring settings for the supremely soulful Bay Area jazz singer. They celebrate the release of their latest collaboration, “New Beginnings,” with largely the same cast as the album, including trumpeter Erik Jekabson, exploring arresting arrangements of familiar standards like “Dinah” and “Stella By Starlight.” 5:30 and 7 p.m. Sunday. $25. SFJazz Center, 201 Franklin St., S.F. (866) 920-5299. www.sfjazz.org.

Story
Introduction
I've lived in San Francisco for twenty years and spend part of every day at least thinking about SFJAZZ .  And, I spend part of everyday eating out, usually in the Mission.  I backpacked around the world for a year but I've never been to South America and I keep saying that I am going to take sailing lessons <-- I did that one.  Loved it but didn't fall in love.
