Hi Linda, Thank you for commenting. The fabric I used was a novelty knit purchased from Fabric Mart Fabrics. This particular piece is no longer available and they just ran their knit sale. A word of caution if you intend to make this for yourself or someone else. When going by the size chart, take into account that the shoulders will be very loose and off the shoulders. So a thin strap across the back that ties up might be useful and maybe add about 1" or 2" to the bottom for a good hip length.

Now, chiffon? I think practically anything that you can dream ,,,,Can be done with the right alterations according to your fabric choices. If you have a chiffon knit,,, go for it. Just be sure to use your stay tapes on the edges to make sure it keeps form around the neck , a drape is kind of what you want in the back, but a clean drape is what you want. I would also try a stretch chiffon, but regular silk,,, would need some minor adjustments.

I hope I've answered your question and I wish you happy sewing!!!
