Guess who made this?
I DID.

BAM.
Tastes amazing too. Stir-fried carrots, bell peppers, and lettuce, in noodles and with plenty of soy sauce.
Thank you, Mom, for all the cooking lessons.

I am now in my mom's house! All kinds of excitement up in here.

Gonna be learning how to do life after high school. It's gonna be one heck of an adventure.

In the session A Whole Lotta of Nothing to do:
The holopad displays the Automatic Card Spewer. It also prints out a short description:
A machine gun loaded with playing cards that shoots them out at high speeds in quick succession. How's THAT for 52 card pickup?!
It costs  200 build  220 copper

Can somebody wire me some copper?

So apparently we can cure cancer now.

...or that's what you'd think.

According to the article, the miracle cure works by suppressing a protein "that is essentially a "do not eat" signal to the body's immune system".

This means that, unless the drug is applied only to the tumor, and is constrained to said tumor, it will very likely have a similar effect on healthy, normal cells.

So yes, this stuff kills cancer. But, you know, so does a handgun.

So today I talked on the phone with a guy who works on a podcast/blog group thing called "That Nerd Show".

I may have a chance to do freelance writing for them, reviewing video games.

Here's hoping they're impressed by my writing skills, as demonstrated in my old game review project. I would love to do reviews, and I might even get to be on the podcast itself! I already pinched myself, this isn't a dream!

In my senior year of high school, my economics teacher explained a subsidy as being a grant paid by a government to stop a company from producing a specific commodity. For example, a tobacco farmer would be paid a sum equal to the amount of money he gained from last year's harvest if he stopped growing tobacco, and used the field in question for something else.

I looked up the definition of "subsidy" today, wondering why so many authors and NPR hosts seem to think that subsidies are paid to encourage a crop rather than discourage it, and found that apparently "subsidy" basically means "grant".

Someone explain to me why my economics teacher used a specific definition while the rest of the world seems to run on a non-specific one. Is it because my economics teacher wanted us to avoid just googling the definition? Or have so many NPR hosts misused the term that it's no longer used as anything but a synonym for "grant"?

OK. I might have to use crayon instead of colored pencils if I can't mix the colors correctly.

So I tried out Tribes: Ascend.

One time, I started a match, and not ten seconds into it, a heavy and a medium were in my team's base.

I stopped playing, because if I tried to play past that, I would've broken either A) my fist B) the table or C) both.

Just got a new computer from my grandparents! It has Windows 8!

I don't know whether to be excited or start trying to dual-boot it!

You should be excited. I have a Windows 8 computer that I'm typing this on, for Christmas, works extremely well. It can play Minecraft at 112fps, Blockland at Maximum EVERYTHING, and I'm about to get a video card from my Dad's computer to make everything work even better.

Did somepony say wubs?
Introduction

I like games. Game design too.

Trigun is my favorite anime. Gunslinger Girl is a close second.

Favorite ponies are Vinyl Scratch and Fluttershy.

I'm a fan of techno in general, especially speedcore and drums 'n bass, but I can enjoy pretty much anything that isn't performed by one of the many Bieberclones (So much talent wasted on a one-man boyband).

Minecraft is freaky awesome, especially with ComputerCraft installed.
