When the right opportunity presents itself, you’ll know when to say yes. Frank Kelske began his automotive career in the summer of 2007, when he came across an ad for a Mercedes-Benz recruitment program. After looking into it further, he was “wowed into the business.”

At the time, MBUSA’s Elite Sales Program aimed to bring aspiring salespeople into the brand that had no previous automotive experience. “MBUSA wanted to teach people about their vehicles, their heritage, and their way”, Frank says. After passing the program and nailing his interview with MBUSA, he was matched with the Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land dealership and has been a valuable part of our Sales team ever since.

In just 8 weeks into his new career with us, Frank was named Salesman of the Month. “I could tell right away that I made the right move.” Frank’s ability to service and understand his clients stems from a firm belief that every customer is a partner. “When you walk into MBSL we become a team and my role is to look out for your best interest. I know that generally some people would rather have a root canal than buy a car, so when people come here, we aim to exceed all their expectations.”

When asked how he feels about the vehicles themselves, Frank admits that it wasn’t until he got his own Mercedes-Benz that he realized their value. “I drive the same route everyday about 10 times a week, and suddenly the experience changes once I did so in a Mercedes-Benz. I will never forget the day I took my E-Class home; I had to stop by the grocery store. Even when running a simple errand like that, I recall being blown away by the sheer performance of the car. I know I’ll have a Mercedes for the rest of my life.” At Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land, we’re happy to have been the first to welcome Frank into the Mercedes-Benz family.

Warning to all Mercedes Owners: Sugar Land Mercedes Service department are the worst! I've owned and driven Mercedes for twenty years and never had such poor unreliable, unresponsive and deception with a dealership ever. I highly caution customers to keep all records and review what you sign off on respective to service. It is not beneath Sugarland service dept to alter records, mislead, and wrongly access your vehicle so as to up charge. Even Service DOC-Steven Sojack, blatantly; stated, "we don't work on cars for free". Mr. Sojack, no ones expects a free ride, but it is expected that warranties are upheld, admission of mistakes (including apologies) are made and every effort is made to deliver vehicles back to owners in a timely manner, usually repaired correctly the 1st time! My suggestion to anyone who pays attention to such post is seek your service elsewhere!! P.Speckman

This review is more in reference to a particular sales member. I recently purchased a vehicle and the process was overall smooth and professional but after everything was finalized, the salesman I purchased from, Rod, totally dropped the great customer service act. I've tried to set up a service appt numerous times, was told someone would get back to me and I wouldn't hear from anyone. Once Rod and I found a day/time that worked, he called the following week and argued with me over the phone claiming that our conversation didn't happen. I explained everything that we talked about the week before and he continually said differently. He was rude and acted very bothered by me. He clearly forgot what we agreed on and flipped it on me. This wouldn't be a big deal, mistakes happen, except the way he talked to me and tried to put the blame on me. Im very disappointed with my experience with him. He said he's only been with Mercedes for less than a year and it shows in his unprofessionalism.

I tried so hard to like Mercedes over the past 5 years. I bought a brand new in 2010 from their other Houston location (Greenway). Initially I was debating between Lexus and Mercedes. I told the sales person that I like how Lexus picks up the car from home to service it. He promised me that Mercedes does the same thing. Little did I know that they do not and he was just pushing it for the sale. So I went to Mercedes of Sugar Land because I thought that for sure they'll be better. A few months ago I took my car for service and after I paid around $1000, and on my way home driving it, I see the engine light is on and the washer fluid light is on. I take it back to the service only to find the advisor telling me that "it is just my luck" and that I need to pay $145 to get these checked. I leave the car and call the manager who tells me that yes there were issues that were not noticed in the service!! Which makes me wonder why am I taking to service in the first place. They then fixed it and didn't charge me.(Btw the lights still come on and off until today!! LOL) Then, around a month ago, the passenger's window went down and did not go up. I took it to Mercedes who promised me a day or two to get it fixed and cost $1200. A week later, they call me and tell me no sorry it will take 3 weeks for the parts to come. A month later, I call them to check and see why hasn't anyone called me or given me any updates? The service advisor tells me that it such a coincidence the parts came today! I take my car in, again, and a day later I pick it up, only to find out that the window does not go all the way down! I actually checked it at the dealership because I now know better than to trust the work done on my car. Oh my goodness! Every single problem takes multiple trips and follow up trips back and forth to Mercedes! They finally fixed it after I waited for 40 extra minutes! Which by the way is NOT100% aligned still! I now make sure I cancel all my work appointments at least a couple of days after I take my car to service for any given reason because more than likely, I will have to take it back, or wait some more. I never like writing bad reviews, but this time it is more of an advice for anyone buying a Mercedes... Do not do it and go for a Lexus! My mother had Lexus for years, and NEVER had an issue! I apologize for the long review.

I work for Sewell Cadillac where we pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service. I have also come to expect a very high level of service. The service department at MB Sugarland met and exceeded my expectations. I showed up on a very busy morning planning to drop the vehicle off or at the very least wait a couple hours. After checking in and agreeing to drop the vehicle off I met with Jon B., the assistant service manager. He took the time to listen to my issues and suggested a ride with the shop supervisor Dario B. Dario checked the vehicles exterior and then drove it to check for my complaints. He was an expert and explained everything. He even took the time to give the vehicle a courtesy inspection and found a couple small items that needed to be fixed. He did it all and let me know the vehicle was operating normally and sent me on my way. They were courteous and took very good care of me. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family to their dealership. Top notch service!

We give this dealership a 0 star rating! The vehicle my fiancé and I purchased was solicited as a certified pre-owned vehicle! The cosmetics of the vehicle were less than satisfactory, they promised to fix scratches and a windshield. The scratch repair was less than satisfactory and the windshield repair was horrible. There are rock chips and noticeable cracks in the windshield. After several attempts to get them to make good on their promise, I finally just asked for them to re-do the paperwork and add the costs of repair to the contract, they wouldn't even do that, they just ignored my phone calls. We could have purchased from anywhere on the planet! Yet we chose to give them a second chance, that is right. We are returning customers. Sad how they treat people who give them 2nd chances. Thanks Mercedes Benz of Sugarland for a horrible experience!

After further review within our dealership as well as with Mercedes-Benz USA, we have concluded that no further action will be taken. The vehicle was repaired and certified to premium standards including a one-year warranty on the windshield. As discussed in person and over the phone, we value returning and new customers a great deal and thank you for the opportunity to have worked together.

The car buying experience at Mercedes Benz of Sugar Land was incredible. Particularly the level of service from my salesman Phil Nguyen. I live in Austin and I'm not a huge fan of the car buying process so I chose to purchase my car without ever stepping foot in the dealership. I found the exact car I wanted online and it just so happened to be at Mercedes Benz of Sugar Land. Phil made the process incredibly easy, worked with me on price and financing and had it delivered to my doorstep via transport. I know there are a lot of Mercedes Benz choices in the Houston area and I can't speak for all of them, but I can tell you this, the next car I buy will be from Mercedes Benz of Sugar Land.

I cannot say enough good things about this dealership and in particular Frank Kelske. I have purchased 2 x cars from him now. His professional and personalized service made my purchase experiences very comfortable and enjoyable - you know you are working with someone you can trust and who really understands what you are looking for. He is also great at making sure your ongoing experience with the dealership is first class and everything you ever need is taken care of. I should also add the service department is very well run and the Asst. Manager Michelle Ward is fantastic - she is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

I have had several bad experiences with the service department over the last three years but the one that troubles me the most is when I bring my GLK350 in yearly for a detail. I always make a simple request that they wipe down my engine during the detail. Thjs has only happened one time out of three. They even came a got my car from work to clean the engine but instead they returned it with a dirty engine. I have had my car detailed at MB Orland Park, IL and they cleaned the engine with no problems. I certainly would like to discuss this problem with the service manager if he would just leave ma a phone number.
