Today's Mind-Blowing, New Technology  Award winner: Consumer-level Hologram devices are on the way

Slick.

For $99, the Kangaroo Pocket sized  Windows 10 Desktop is cheaper, expandable and with more functionality, than both pc-on-a-stick devices and streaming set-top boxes.

The fact that it is also a highly portable desktop is icing on the cake. I'll be purchasing one of these for a test spin. Links:

What do you get when you edit together all of the new Star Wars trailers? Well, the Star Wars SUPERCUT  Trailer, of course.

Today's Best New Instrument  Winner: Seaboard RISE

Whether you're a musician or not, you'll definitely want to check out the video. This is much more than another hybrid synth / piano; it's a re-imagining and evolution of what can be done in the space. SLICK.

Bullwinkle, our new flying squirrel, eating some sugar-water from an eye dropper.

Two days in and he's starting to get frisky and eating like a champ. He especially likes fresh grapes. I'll post one of him munching on a grape tomorrow. :)

Here's a better pic of the young flying squirrel we saved.

Turns out they make great pets, and I'm leery of releasing him into the woods. We'll see how the night goes and what we learn from the game wardens.

This baby flying squirrel just hopped out of one of the trees we're getting trimmed today.

I had no  idea they were indigenous to Houston. Seems in good health. He's really freaked out and trembling. Hopefully the game warden can point me in the direction of who to contact to take care of him. (Pretty sure if I let him go in the army corps of engineers park reserve that is my backyard he won't survive the night.)
