Dolores Park is one of my favorite places to be on a beautiful SF weekend. The best people watching in the city. With the amount of people and the amount of drinking done in the park, its surprisingly tame and I've never felt unsafe or uncomfortable here. I think it's great that such a huge group can get together and not cause a disturbance. I will take all my visiting guests here, including my parents!

Mission Dolores is a historical and recreational mainstay for the people of San Francisco. As popular as it is, you'll always find room to put down a picnic blanket and enjoy the views. Sunny weather puts everyone in a neighborly mood, and if it's really nice out the people around you might share the goodies they brought with them. Very dog and child friendly. When it starts to get too cold and dark out, wander towards any of the great eateries and watering holes located around the park.

I've heard some really mixed opinions about Dolores Park, but have never had a bad time here. While I've only been a few times, it's always got a friendly crowd. The park feels very welcoming, to all kinds of individuals. There were yogis, guys doing rap battles, and some people balancing batons and hula hoops. Of course, there were also lots of people getting their drink on. But I'll never complain about free ice cream, popcorn, and sponsored summer movies.

When the weather is nice, is there a better spot to view the city at... particularly from the spot so fondly known as "Gay Beach"? An eclectic mish mash of people and vendors including guys such as "Captain Morgan" who sells coconuts with Rum to... well you know. Truffles.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARKS TO CHILL/REST/EAT. I like coming here after getting some ice cream at Bi-Rite. The view of the city from the highest part of the park is gorgeous!! I loveeeee it!! Parking around the area can be a pain--especially if the weather is nice. Despite the super cool, new playground with its bouncy floor, this park may not be the perfect place for kids on some days (people drinking, smoking (illegal) stuff, etc.).

Dolores Park is the place to be: whether you're celebrating with friends on the weekend, wanting to read a book by yourself, or looking to meet some of the weirdest/nicest people in town. On a sunny day the Mission is where its at in SF as it has some of the best weather. Bring a towel or blanket to sit, on bottle of wine or a forty and some snacks and you're set for the day.

Dolores Park has mixed reviews among my friends, but I like it. It's a beautiful park with a great view of the city that is usually sunny, not submerged in fog. It's got Bi-Rite ice cream nearby and is always full of picnicers. The people watching is great - hula hoopers, people doing yoga, guitarists, artists, etc. The downsides my friends would point out are that it's a bit dirty-feeling - there are always a lot of people so there's some trash, and the grass is actually not that well-irrigated and green/can be a bit dry. The whole "your kids will step on drug needles" thing is ridiculous though.

I love Dolores Park. The view here is amazing and the atmosphere is awesome. Drinking and smoking are tolerated here as long as they are done respectfully. That means no glass. When it is nice out there are tons of people here, especially on Sundays.
