One evening I grabbed this shot of two young women walking the beach at Heceta Headlands on the Oregon Coast.

Wow! Today I saw that someone +1ed the ending of Part Two of Perfect! I admit that a lack of comments and feedback led me to believe no one cared. Among other pieces I'm working on, Perfect is something I think about a lot - I have most of part three plotted and just need to commit to the time to writing and publishing it (for a given 40 week stretch).

Let me know if you have any interest in seeing how the story ends. (aka, feel free to encourage!)

So this week George and Anita have settled into life in a future Red Cloud firmly rooted in an age long since passed into our own history. He followed her from a comfortable life in civilization to a new, unimagined, impossible life in the Great North American Wilderness Park. So what do they do all day? How’s he dealing with the change? And exactly what does Anita think about it all? Find out in

I admit it, I'm a horrible reader. Ugh, something ELSE I need to improve at so I can be a viable author?
How Authors Can Use Audio to Boost Their Visibility

I don’t think you are hearing me…

We live in a world where the words we write compete against so many other ways people would rather consume content.  Podcasts – Audio Books – Sound Bite – Website replay… Whatever form and fashion you want to consider, you MUST make consideration on how you are going to reach your readers this way.

Marketing your books is not about what worked last year, it certainly is not about what feels good to you, but it’s about determining what is working today and go headlong to make it work.

Want more readers?  What to build an audience?  Want to build your author platform?  Do what 99% of other authors won’t do, try podcasting, audiobooks, etc.  Are you hearing me?

“…over 100,000 books are published every year… building, connecting and engaging with existing and potential audience/readers is important for you as an author.” - +Viv Oyolu

If you like SciFi, you should check this out! Cool, interesting characters, a distopic world - but what I find even more interesting, even though I critique with R. Washburn and we have similar themes in our work (Perfect) the results are quite different. And no, we didn't map out our projects together - we are both just writers reacting to the world we live in and letting our imaginations travel and explore.

Follow R. Washburn to hear the latest news on the Project Seraphim Series.

Published the new episode of Perfect yesterday. Catch up on what's happening to George and Anita on their quest to find Red Cloud. Did Willem send them the clues? Is he in Red Cloud? Will they stay or hit the road again?

Enjoy the next episode today!

Perfect, Episode Thirty-six ♦ Carl Marpole

Only four episodes remain in Part Two of Perfect and I promise Episode Forty will be big - not longer, but something very important will happen. Are you ready for it?
