3 years ago today, thousands of community members descended on Sacramento to call for adequate funding of public education and essential services. Six of us -- Jenn Laskin, Irene Gonzalez, Manny Ballesteros, Jim Miller, Gavin Riley, and yours truly -- finished marching 350 miles, from Bakersfield to Sacramento, over 48 days, as part of that fight. We've had victories and setbacks and still have a long way to go!
