I’ve lived in Barnstaple, North Devon for over fifteen years now, so I certainly don’t fall into the category of what people in these parts call grockles, but neither am I included in the exclusive subset of locals, you don’t get to adopt that honorific…

An occasional series, recalling the wisdom of Audrey; purveyor of non sequiturs, profundity and randomness. When they were still living in America and I could only communicate with them via video messaging, Audrey overheard Rhonda referring to me as her…

Here we go with the last (excusable) Sunday edition of SoCS, with the twenty third episode in the story of Hannah’s adventure, prompted this week by Linda G Hill and; ” “zoo.”  Use the word zoo, or find a word that contains it.” “ Hmm, ok… The Wrong…

Ok, here’s the prompt for the first themed edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge. This coming Monday, (May 2nd) the theme for any creatively altered photos that you’d like to submit should be somehow related to Beaches, as chosen by K’lee;…

For today’s A-Z challenge I could have gone with all sorts of fancy words, like Xenophobia or Xenomorph, but I thought I’d go for the only X word that ever appeared on an A-Z list when I was at school; Xylophone. The way I am choosing to fulfill this…

Originally posted on Starship Gypsies: Tori couldn’t believe she was stranded AGAIN. It was like deja vu; for her and the rest of the Zapp family, it brought back the feelings of helplessness and isolation of their experiences in the escape pods. At least…

This may seem slightly conceited and self-referential, (like I care) but I was reading an old guest post earlier, one that I wrote for Ramblings of a semi-mad man nearly three years ago. It was after a discussion on Facebook about supermarkets and their…

Welcome to Monday and the first themed post in K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, the photography feature that positively encourages you to muck about artistically with your pictures, to create something more than just a photo. The prompt from…

So here we are at the end of my first ever A-Z challenge and I must say, I’ve enjoyed it immensely. Not only have I been able to indulge my tendency to talk rubbish, every day for a month, I’ve also had a chance to meet some great new bloggers, promote…

I’ve spent today off work with my revolting cold, so the penultimate A-Z post is a bit of a cop out, I’m afraid. Having reached the catarrh stage of my illness, the colour yellow has featured quite heavily in my day, so (tenuous link ahoy) I thought I’d…

Ok, I’ve been beaten again. I’ve just this second sat down after being on the go since I got up, 13 hours ago, I’ve got a horrible bloody cold, (again) probably courtesy of Audrey and my head feels like it’s full of glue. So I’m going to cheat again and…

Today’s portmanteau proverbs are bad news for horticultural haberdashers and rather fortunate for Mick Jagger and friends… “You can’t make a moss purse.” but; “A sow gathers no silk from a Rolling Stone’s ear.” #1linerWeds Pingback to Linda G Hill.

Introduction
dalecooper57 may or may not necessarily be my real name, although I couldn't swear to it. An aging hippy living in Devon, I do all this stuff (and I do mean everything - blog, animation, music, photography, the lot) on my lovely smartphone because I started like that, and now I'm too stubborn to get a computer. I don't have a theme, because I don't see why I'd want to talk about the same thing all the time, so why only write about one thing? So if you like eclecticism, humour, nonsense, opinionated ranting, and occasionally educational stuff, you've come to the right place. - Diary of an Internet Nobody - http://dalecooper57.wordpress.com/

Just spent over four hours on the phone, getting cut off, put on hold, passed from one department to another, just to find out that their "approved" widescreen company can't fix anything for over six weeks. Then I find out they didn't even give me the correct insurers. Absolutely useless in every conceivable way. The WORST customer service I've ever received anywhere, for anything, EVER. (update) No, I shall NOT be getting in touch to discuss this with Autonet, I don't feel like wasting another few hours of my life, just so they can make pathetic excuses about how useless their service is.
