Good views, good food, and good service make a good lunch meal for a group of any size. Our group went to Paragon on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded and the service was attentive and kind. The view of the Claremont Hotel and Spa is impressive, you can see all the way back to SF from the East Bay. Many people in our group enjoyed the grilled cheese, though others enjoyed the tuna melt.

Meal- Squash ravioli with assorted veggies and mushrooms in a creamy sauce. The meal was fresh and had balanced flavor. I would order it again, but would not come here specifically for it. Mid-range value.

If you're looking for some good food with an amazing view of San Francisco, Paragon is your place. Attached to the beautiful Claremont Hotel, this restaurant is a sort of hidden gem in the Bay Area. On a sunny day, you can sit out on the deck and sip a bloody Mary or mimosa while eating fresh oysters. It's also a great stop after a visit to the Claremont Spa.

i've met some of the friendliest customers at this location. it might be the too close tables but i enjoy the burgers.

Went there to catch a game and enjoy great food and service. . well the sports game i was watching (was only patron watching the game) they decided (the bartender" decided to change it at half time to "catch the local team" but when i informed the waitress and staff that i came specifically to catch the game they impotently responded " oh we will look into it" and the game was never changed back. . even after i spoke to the manager. . .and then of course i wrote a letter to the management and the meekly responded the following" Thank you for taking the time to write us about your experience at Paragon Restaurant in Berkeley. I am very sorry to hear of your disappointment and regret that your visit did not meet your expectations. With one television and various interests, I am sure you can imagine that accommodating everybody's wishes is a challenging task. Over the years we have made a point of showing the local teams when they are playing as we do have a loyal, local guest base. That being said, I apologize that we need not communicate this well enough to avoid upsetting you" well most establishments would have at least (1) given you a complimentary dinner or drinks or something. . ..this place just expressed their sorrow at their inability to "communicate this well enough to avoid upsetting you" DONT EVER GO HERE. . . .
