George Duke of Clarence
Today, the 18th of February, marks 537 years since the death of the brother of ‪Richard III‬ and Edward IV.

My latest blog looks at Clarence's trial and conviction and also asks
"Was Clarence a victim of the Middle Child Syndrome?"

I found it difficult to find the right words to do justice to the BBC's adaptation of Hilary Mantel's books Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies so I won't even attempt it. Here is an article in the Guardian newspaper:
‪  Wolf Hall in my opinion the best historical drama that has been on our screens in years. I found it difficult to find the right words to do justice to the BBC's adaptation of Hilary Mantel's books Wolf Hall and B...

Introduction

After ten years in the workplace I became a mother to three very beautiful daughters, I was fortunate enough to have been able to stay at home and spend my time with them as they grew into the young women they are now. I am still in the position of being able to be at home and pursue all the interests I have previously mentioned. We live in a beautiful Victorian spa town with wooded walks for the dog, lovely shops and a host of lovely people, what more could I ask for.

Bragging rights
My head may be in the clouds but my feet are firmly in beautiful England. I love my daughters of which I have three. I enjoy history especially the medieval period, researching my family history, craft, sewing, art, reading, the very beautiful county of Cornwall ...oh and anything about Richard III.
