Apparently You Tube won't let everybody view the video, because I used a Bob Marley song in it, so I've uploaded it to Vimeo. Hopefully this remedies the problem.

Here's a compilation video of my Light Painting work of 2012

On to new work in 2013 and a Happy new Year everybody!!!!!

Hope you enjoy it and a bit of Bob Marley I put under the video

 The Juggling Joker

A bit less Light Painting techniques in this shot.
I just used a LED flashlight with a snoot I made attached to it. The snoot is just some paper rolled up, so it fit on the flash light and tapered to a really fine pinhole at the end. This way you can 'Light Paint' the area's you want in a controlled way. In between painting the various parts I covered the lens to prevent unwanted bleeding of the light. You can use a lens cap, your hand or make something that you easily put on or in front of your lens.
In did seven different paint actions in this shot. One for the joker and the setting and six for each individual juggling ball. The four juggling balls floating in the air are suspended from thin wire attached to a stand just outside the frame. Careful lighting and near total darkness when shooting are necessary to make sure you don't see the wires.

Dutch Light Painting Group meeting 2012

Tonight The Dutch Light Painting Group held had a meeting.
Unfortunately rain prevented us from going all out with our creativity and we only took a few shots on one location; But we had a lot of fun!!!

It was great to meet people face to face, which I got to know via several media platforms, and exchange ideas.

Thanks +Hugo Baptista, +Jelle Schuurmans, +erwin weerts, Sander Claasen and Jasper Geenhuizen for comming and making it a great night.
I got some new ideas to work with and I'm looking forward to our next meeting in February 2013.
