Visualizing Scientists
One of the many missions of Imagine Science Films is to transform stereotypes of scientists. By bringing scientists in to the classroom via Connected Classrooms, we aim to change this perception of science and make science more accessible. #connectedclassrooms   #virtualfieldtrip

Haha last one is the best.
I always think I should wear a lab coat on field interviews so people know what I am.

A leading Canadian science outreach charity, igniting scientific curiosity in children.
Introduction
Scientists in School - www.scientistsinschool.ca - is a leading science outreach charity dedicated to sparking children's interest in science, technology and the environment through hands-on discovery.

At the heart of Scientists in School's work are our award-winning, inquiry-based workshops for Kindergarten through Grade 8 students. With Scientists in School, students become scientists in their school and are able to see, touch and do science using specialized equipment and materials, all under the guidance of real science experts from their communities.

Our mission is to ignite scientific curiosity in children so that they: question intelligently, learn through discovery, connect scientific knowledge to their world, and consider a career in science.

Each year, Scientists in School presents over 21,000 half day workshops in classrooms throughout Ontario and in Alberta, reaching nearly 600,000 elementary students and countless others through community workshops and events. Scientists in School's nearly 400 presenters are trained science professionals who bring unmatched passion and expertise to their communities. Scientists in School unites the science, education and business communities in the common goal of raising science literacy and encouraging our future innovators.
