kamphwagon1: +George Cohn PBS devoted a hour to these violins some years back .. It seems they have finally duplicated the Stradivarius tone qualities in a modern era violin .. Once all the legend and myth was laid aside about how Stradivarius selected his wood .. Like going trough a forest with a hammer knocking on trees .. It was determined he bought his wood in Venice where logs were left in the salt water .. It seems that the water hollows out some of the cell structure giving it better resonating qualities ..
A violin was built using salt water aged wood , the same varnish applied that Stradivarius used and a prestigious violin musician was found for a comparison between an original and the newly built in a blind test .. kamphwagon1: +George Cohn I suspect there's some genetic splicing (GMO ) that makes the plants immune .. Yet it still should translocate trough the plant into the beans that's how herbicides work ... There's very little that roundup won't kill unless it's GMO... Even 2-4-D will translocate killing only broad leaf weeds when applied at recommended mixing and application rates ... I have a notion that the roundup makes into the shelled beans trough the translocation process... I just don't see how it could keep from it unless I'm missing something ... Be well !
